In order to demonstrate our track record in our fields of expertise, we have summarised a selection of our projects, which have been recently completed or which are ongoing.

For each of the selected projects we provide a descriptive summary of the project itself, as well as outlining the nature of our involvement and our responsibilities in its execution. We also provide some general project data. The projects are of a diverse nature, and include large stadium structures, buildings, bridges and tunnels.
We are proud of the diversity of skills and expertise, which we can offer to our clients.

Design of the reinforced concrete structure supported on Franki Piles. Most notably, conceptual and detail design of the ø 8,60 m, 5,55m high helical staircase, which completes 11/4 revolutions whilst being supported only at its ends. The staircase is the central architectural feature of the museum. The detailing of the support sections presented a particular challenge, due to the high vertical and torsional shear stresses prevalent there, as well as large bi-axial moments. The section varies in depth from 650mm at its supports, to 350mm at the midspan sections. The cross section is trapezoidal, in order to maintain the position of its centroid as close as possible to the axis of the staircase. Design to SABS 0160, South African equivalent to BS8110.
